The licensing of Virtual Coach is designed to be very fair. There is no price loading on small organisations and no surcharges placed on large organisations.
About Licenses
Just like a driver’s license does not give you ownership of the road; a software license does not give you ownership of the software.
The software licence provides you with a formal permission to use it (in accordance with the terms and conditions).
The ‘licence process’ is often confused with the ‘protection process’. The licence is an agreement that you either agree with or do not agree with.
If you do not agree to the licence terms and conditions the software protection process will intervene so that only those that agree can use the software.
Who needs a license?
Everyone who uses part or all of a Virtual Coach product requires a licence.
This includes those who use Virtual Coach modules.
Those wanting to use a trial, demo or preview version of a Virtual Coach product also require a licence. However in most cases you will not need to go through the licence activation process. Just double click and use the application, (you will be presented with the terms and conditions upon launching).
How much does a license cost?
The licence cost is built into the price for using the software and therefore no additional fee is charged.

How do I get a license?
The licence terms and conditions are included on the software.
When you enter your name into the software or during the online purchase process your name is linked to the licence agreement only after you agree to the terms of the licence.
There is no need to print out the licence, or obtain any additional licence documentation.
Do I need to activate my license?
Yes – you will need to activate your licence.
The process for doing this is provided on each application.
You will be guided through the process for which ever activation method you choose.
What license activation options are there?
In most cases you will be able to activate your licence using one of the following methods:
On-line, this is the fastest, cheapest and easiest method for those with an internet connection.
Email, this is also very easy and relatively quick.
Fax, this option is ideal for those without any internet connection, and is also lower cost than the phone activation.
Phone, this is for those that really just can't do without the human touch. A little bit more costly but for some - it's the preferred way.
What is the activation process
You will be guided through the activation process from within each product.
The process below is for your information only.
Each product is given a unique ID during the purchase process. This ID identifies what the product is, the licence period and type that has been purchased. You will find this number on your invoice.
When you launch the product on your computer for the first time you will be prompted to enter your details. The computer will then produce a User ID from your details and the computer you are using it on.
The final step is to actually ‘activate’ your licence. This involves sending your User ID to the website which will then send back an Activation code. Note: If online you can choose for this step to happen automatically.
The activation process only needs to happen once per product. Since most of the Virtual Coach products have five year licences - you will only need to activate once in five years.
How do I activate Virtual Coach modules?
The activation process for Virtual Coach modules has been designed to enable you to unlock several modules at once.
This means that you can buy several different modules from different sellers but still activate them all at the same time.
Virtual Coach Player License
All people wanting to complete a Virtual Coach module will require a Player Licence.
Two licence terms are available 3 months and 5 years. Both come with:
The ability to play an unlimited quantity of modules that have been developed within the trainee's own company.
The Virtual Coach Player application (it's free to download).
The ability to preview modules at no charge to determine if the content is applicable. There may be a small handling and delivery fee for modules ordered from the website on CD.
A help demo built into Virtual Coach. Help is also provided via the website and phone if required.
The fee is discounted if purchased via The Training Market automated process. An additional fee of $15 may be charged for all non automated transactions.
The licence fee excludes the lease or purchase price of Virtual Coach modules produced by third party providers and developers.
Modules can be purchased separately from this website.
Includes access to all patches and upgrades at no additional charge (except postage and handling where applicable).
